Responsibilities
- Lead multiple retail construction projects at the same time, keeping scope, schedule, budget, and quality goals on track.
- Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, budgets, and milestone updates throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate daily project activities with architects, engineers, general contractors, vendors, and internal business partners.
- Review contractor bids and proposals and support award recommendations through clear pricing and scope analysis.
- Manage construction contracts, change orders, payment applications, and closeout documentation.
- Track project progress, identify risks early, and resolve schedule or budget issues proactively.
- Facilitate recurring status meetings and provide concise updates to stakeholders.
- Ensure work aligns with construction standards, safety expectations, and applicable building codes.
- Monitor financial performance, forecasts, and project documentation across each phase of the project.
- Travel to project sites as needed, up to 25%.
- 7+ years of commercial or retail construction project management experience.
- Proven success managing several construction projects concurrently.
- Strong understanding of construction scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
- Experience reviewing bids, negotiating contracts, and supporting vendor management.
- Working knowledge of construction contracts, change orders, and payment processes.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with architects, engineers, contractors, and cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, organization, and documentation skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience with retail remodels, renovations, rollouts, or ground-up construction projects.
- Background supporting large, multi-site construction programs in a corporate setting.
- Strong ownership mindset with the ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
- Comfort working in a fast-moving environment with a collaborative, solutions-oriented approach.
