Overview
Mead & Hunt, Inc., a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, has an on-call position for a senior site construction manager. Responsibilities include leading construction administration activities for multi-discipline construction projects in accordance with project contracts and schedules; conducting daily construction inspections to ensure proper installation of equipment; managing project communications including submittals, RFIs, and supplemental instructions; ensuring safety standards are followed;
and creating daily construction reports. Travel to construction sites is an essential function of this position; a valid driver's license is required.
The hours for this position may vary from zero to 40 hours per week and may exceed 40 hours in some cases. The position is located at various project sites and is currently an on-call (i.e., no benefits) position.
QualificationsThe successful candidate must have a combination of education and/or experience totaling eight years of relevant experience. Acceptable options include:
- Associate degree in construction management, engineering, or related discipline plus six years of experience
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or related discipline plus four years of experience
- No degree plus eight years of experience
- Construction management for three or more projects valued at $50M (or greater) in size
- Pre-cast concrete food plant construction
- Construction scheduling
- Processing paperwork such as RFIs, change orders, supplemental instructions, requests for payment, etc.
- Arranging and conducting site meetings
