Superintendent – Commercial Construction
Minneapolis, MN | Direct Hire | $115K–$130K
We’re partnering with a respected commercial general contractor and real estate developer to hire a Superintendent to lead field operations on high-impact construction projects. This role is ideal for a hands‑on construction leader who excels in site coordination, safety leadership, schedule execution, and team development. You’ll be a key driver of jobsite performance, quality, and client satisfaction from groundbreaking through closeout.
ConstructionSuperintendent Responsibilities:
- Coordinate, plan, and supervise on‑site construction activities with foremen, assistant superintendents, subcontractors, and craft personnel
- Ensure project milestones, materials, and inspections align with schedule and budget requirements
- Maintain proactive communication between field operations, project management, and design teams
- Implement and enforce company safety programs, including weekly audits and OSHA compliance
- Create, maintain, and update project schedules and 3‑week look‑ahead plans
- Monitor progress, identify risks, and initiate corrective actions to ensure on‑time completion
- Oversee quality control and compliance with client specifications throughout all project phases
- Manage and maintain SWPPP and other site‑related environmental requirements
- Build strong relationships with clients, trade partners, and team members to ensure project success
- 5+ years of experience managing multi‑family commercial construction projects for general contractors
- Proven leadership, communication, and problem‑solving abilities
- Strong understanding of construction means, methods, and safety practices
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Procore
- High school diploma required; degree in Construction Management, Civil or Architectural Engineering preferred
- Valid driver’s license
