Superintendent – Commercial Construction

Minneapolis, MN | Direct Hire | $115K–$130K

We’re partnering with a respected commercial general contractor and real estate developer to hire a Superintendent to lead field operations on high-impact construction projects. This role is ideal for a hands‑on construction leader who excels in site coordination, safety leadership, schedule execution, and team development. You’ll be a key driver of jobsite performance, quality, and client satisfaction from groundbreaking through closeout.

Superintendent Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate, plan, and supervise on‑site construction activities with foremen, assistant superintendents, subcontractors, and craft personnel
  • Ensure project milestones, materials, and inspections align with schedule and budget requirements
  • Maintain proactive communication between field operations, project management, and design teams
  • Implement and enforce company safety programs, including weekly audits and OSHA compliance
  • Create, maintain, and update project schedules and 3‑week look‑ahead plans
  • Monitor progress, identify risks, and initiate corrective actions to ensure on‑time completion
  • Oversee quality control and compliance with client specifications throughout all project phases
  • Manage and maintain SWPPP and other site‑related environmental requirements
  • Build strong relationships with clients, trade partners, and team members to ensure project success
Construction Superintendent Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience managing multi‑family commercial construction projects for general contractors
  • Proven leadership, communication, and problem‑solving abilities
  • Strong understanding of construction means, methods, and safety practices
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Procore
  • High school diploma required; degree in Construction Management, Civil or Architectural Engineering preferred
  • Valid driver’s license
