Traveling Construction Materials Technician
We are seeking a dedicated Construction Materials Technician for a traveling position. The successful candidate will work on large commercial and industrial projects across different regions. The role involves performing testing and observations on construction sites, preparing daily reports, and communicating findings with project managers.
Responsibilities- Perform testing and observations on large commercial and industrial construction projects.
- Prepare daily reports based on observations at the job site.
- Review data and communicate findings with project managers on site and within the team.
- Travel extensively for project requirements and work overtime as needed.
- Engage in training on existing data center projects in ND and Texas before moving to new projects.
- ACI certifications are required.
- Experience in construction, concrete inspection, and materials testing.
- ICC Soils Special Inspector certification.
- ICC Reinforced Concrete Special Inspector certification.
- ICC Structural Masonry Special Inspector certification.
- ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician I certification.
- Proficiency in concrete, asphalt, and soil testing.
- Experience with nuclear gauge equipment.
Skills & Qualifications
- ACI Concrete Strength I certification.
- ICC Pre-stressed Concrete Special Inspector certification.
- Nuclear Gauge / Radiation Safety certification.
The position involves full-time fieldwork on large construction sites across the country. The technician will interact with engineers, project managers, and field personnel from owners, general contractors, and subcontractors. Comfort with extensive travel and long-term stays out of town is required. The role demands working outdoors in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and sun.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Minneapolis, MN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $70000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
