Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the construction of large-scale commercial development projects across the United States and Canada. This is an opportunity to join a nationally recognized organization with an in-house construction team responsible for delivering complex, high-end facilities from the ground up through completion.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background managing commercial construction projects, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to successfully deliver projects on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities- Manage multiple commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for owners, architects, consultants, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain project budgets, schedules, forecasts, and procurement plans.
- Lead project teams while promoting collaboration, accountability, and safety.
- Conduct constructability reviews, value engineering exercises, and risk assessments.
- Coordinate subcontractor selection, contract negotiations, and project buyout.
- Monitor project costs and proactively identify opportunities to mitigate budget or schedule risks.
- Oversee quality control and ensure projects meet established standards.
- Facilitate project meetings and communicate progress with leadership and field teams.
- Mentor junior project engineers and project managers while supporting team development.
- Ensure all documentation, contracts, change orders, and project records are properly maintained.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred.
- 7+ years of commercial construction project management experience.
- Experience managing large ground-up and/or major renovation commercial projects.
- Strong understanding of preconstruction, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and contract administration.
- Experience with AIA contracts, GMP delivery, and value engineering.
- Knowledge of construction scheduling software and project management platforms such as Procore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar.
