Mission Hires is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager on behalf of a national specialty electrical contractor. This senior, client-facing role leads complex electrical construction and power-generation projects from estimating and proposal development through onsite execution, closeout, and lessons learned. The successful candidate will own project scope, budgets, schedules, safety, subcontractor coordination, client relationships, and overall project profitability while supporting major industrial and power-generation clients.
Responsibilities- Lead electrical construction and power-generation projects from proposal and estimating through final closeout.
- Evaluate RFQs, define project scopes, and develop estimates, budgets, and proposals.
- Manage project schedules, costs, forecasts, change orders, and overall financial performance.
- Maintain ownership of project P&L, ensuring work is delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and profitably.
- Coordinate closely with clients, engineers, subcontractors, field personnel, and internal teams.
- Lead onsite project execution and monitor quality, safety, productivity, and compliance requirements.
- Support estimating and business-development efforts through technical input and proposal development.
- Manage project documentation, closeout activities, and lessons-learned reviews.
- 5–7+ years of experience in power generation, industrial electrical, or specialty electrical construction.
- 3–5+ years of construction project management experience with direct P&L responsibility.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex electrical construction projects from estimating through completion.
- Strong estimating, budgeting, cost-control, scheduling, financial-management, and change-order skills.
- Strong client-management, communication, negotiation, and cross-functional coordination abilities.
- Ability to lead onsite execution while maintaining high standards for safety, quality, and profitability.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively and work at project sites, with approximately 60% travel expected.
- OSHA 30 certification or the ability to obtain it.
- Union construction experience is preferred.
- An engineering degree is preferred.
- Experience with power-generation projects is strongly preferred.
- Competitive annual base salary of approximately $110,000–$160,000.
