Project Manager, Construction Manager​/ Foreman, Procurement ​/ Purchasing

Description

We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead construction projects from initial planning through completion. This role is responsible for managing all aspects of project execution, including budgeting, scheduling, client communication, subcontractor coordination, procurement, and project closeout.

The ideal candidate is a proactive leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can effectively manage multiple stakeholders, and has a strong understanding of construction operations, project financials, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities

+ Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle.

+ Develop and maintain strong client relationships while managing expectations and project communications.

+ Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, schedules, and success metrics in collaboration with stakeholders.

+ Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and construction schedules.

+ Prepare project estimates, bids, and proposals.

+ Lead projects from preconstruction through execution, completion, and project closeout.

+ Coordinate internal teams, subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, and field personnel.

+ Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with project requirements.

+ Manage project budgets, forecasts, cost tracking, and financial reporting.

+ Monitor project performance and identify risks, delays, or cost impacts.

+ Implement corrective actions and change management processes when necessary.

+ Review project documentation including contracts, RFIs, submittals, permits, change orders, and closeout materials.

+ Allocate resources effectively to maximize project efficiency and performance.

+ Conduct regular project status meetings and provide updates to clients, leadership, and stakeholders.

+ Review and approve project-related invoices and support billing processes.

+ Analyze project outcomes, identify lessons learned, and recommend process improvements.

+ Track key project metrics, profitability, and overall performance.

+ Support quality assurance efforts and ensure work meets contractual and regulatory requirements.

+ Travel to project sites as needed to oversee progress, resolve issues, and support teams.

+ Mentor project staff and foster a collaborative, high-performing work environment.

+ Support additional projects and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

Qualifications

+ Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field preferred.

+ 5+ years of experience overseeing commercial, retail, industrial, multifamily, healthcare, or other large-scale construction projects preferred.

+ Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, scheduling, and project delivery processes.

+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, contracts, and construction documents.

Experience with project budgeting, estimating, cost control, forecasting, and financial reporting.

+ Knowledge of construction codes, regulations, permitting, and compliance requirements.

+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

+ Experience using construction management software such as Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Bluebeam, or similar platforms preferred.

+ Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

+ Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
