Role:

The Integrated Production Department at Carmichael Lynch is a creatively led team that focuses on craft, efficiency, collaboration, problem‑solving, and storytelling. We are a talented mix of proactive, curious, and kind people who love to use both the left and right sides of our brain.

As a Senior Visual Artist, you’ll be part of our internal production group known as CL Labs. CL Labs encompasses our physical production studio, editorial, motion graphics, and animation. This position is responsible for capturing content in our Content Lab. Experience in tabletop photography and videography is desired. Additionally, the role requires editing for social films, digital videos, internal videos and new business.

Motion graphics, stop motion and animation experience a plus.

Essential Functions / Principal Accountabilities of the Job
  • Day‑to‑day responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to:
  • Planning and leading studio shoots. Inclusive of scheduling shoot days, prop selection, identifying supplemental crew if needed.
  • Stop Motion workflow knowledge required.
  • Editing video and stills
    • Adobe Photoshop
    • Adobe Premiere
  • Live Stream studio shoots (video + stills)
    • We use Blackmagic Web Presenter and OBS
  • Supporting creatives and editors by searching for music or footage.
  • Be a creative problem‑solver, flexible and curious.
  • Strong collaborator willing to take creative challenges and risks.
  • Seeks and experiments with new technology and remains current on industry trends.
  • Keeps projects organized and can follow operational processes.
  • Positive influence within agency culture.

These are the major functions and accountabilities required of the position and are the predominant criteria by which performance will be assessed. OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED.

Working Relationships, Autonomy and Supervision

The Senior Visual Artist must interact regularly and collaborate effectively with all personnel of the agency but specifically and regularly with the following teams:
Production, Creative, Project Management, Account Management, Planning and New Business.

Work direction is from Head of Production.

Required Qualifications, Experience and Knowledge
  • Education: Not a mandate – experience, a reel and references most important. A bachelor’s degree in film/broadcast production is a plus.

    • 8+ years of editorial experience in long form, short form, and social.
    • Solid understanding of post‑production phases and their respective processes.
