Ambassador – MSP

Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport - seasonal part-time

$17 - $18 / hour

Eligible for $5 per month paid cellular phone allowance.

Work hours:

approximately 4 hours per week.

Must be available weekends and holidays as needed

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct the flow of traffic in the customs area; direct customers to additional Cart Management Units, suggest the use of credit card payment.
  • Provide superior customer service.
  • Cash Handling; must be able to handle cash quickly and accurately.
  • Responsible for maintaining a balanced "Bank" of cash in order to break large bills for passengers, occasionally exchanging foreign.
  • Perform routine, maintenance and cleaning of carts and CMUs, tracking and rails.
  • Identify disabled, unusable carts, put in designated area and alert supervisor/MOD.
  • Transport carts from high return areas to high rental areas, ensure carts are available to customers.
  • Utilize mechanized equipment to move multiple carts throughout the airport.
  • Maintain communication and cooperation with other employees, and facility management.
  • Perform job in an honest, reliable, and a professional manner.
  • Maintain a clean area where Smarte Carte operates.
  • Additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Previous experience in customer service.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum six months previous work experience.
Certifications / Licenses
  • Ability to get Airport Badge is required.
  • Valid Driver License is required.
Physical Requirements
  • Lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Push/Pull 75 – 100 lbs. to move 15 carts simultaneously.
  • Walk and stand for duration of shift.
Experience

Required

  • Cash Handling experience – handle quickly and accurately.

Preferred

  • Six months previous work experience.
Education

  • High School or better.
