Customer Service Representative

Description

We are looking for a Customer Service Representative to join a team in a contract with potential contract-to-hire position. This role focuses on delivering responsive support to customers and agents by addressing questions, resolving concerns, and providing clear updates related to insurance policies and products. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing service requests, documentation, and high-volume communication with accuracy and care.

Responsibilities:

- Respond to customer and agent inquiries by phone, email, or other channels, ensuring timely and attentive service.

- Research service issues and disputes, identify appropriate solutions, and bring matters to resolution efficiently.

- Communicate policy details, product information, and claim or account status updates in a clear and helpful manner.

- Complete and process insurance-related documents, including policy changes, confirmations, beneficiary updates, certificates, and invoice adjustments.

- Enter and update account information accurately while maintaining complete and organized records.

- Review paperwork for accuracy and follow through on outstanding items to support smooth policy administration.

- Collaborate with internal and external contacts with diplomacy and care to address service needs.

- Manage multiple priorities throughout the day while meeting quality expectations and turnaround timelines.

Requirements

- High school diploma or equivalent required.

- Prior customer service experience required; call center experience is preferred.

- General understanding of the insurance industry and insurance products. Previous insurance experience is a plus.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with customers, agents, and business partners.

- Proven ability to handle sensitive conversations with tact, professionalism, and sound judgment.

- Solid typing skills and accuracy in data entry and document handling.

- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively and maintain detailed records.
