Complex Claims Processing

Description

Financial Institution located in Golden Valley is seeking a consultant in their Claims Department. This group will take on the more complex claims that the off shore team can't handle. Typical day will consist of correspondence tasks with the beneficiaries and attorney's to eventually come to a resolution.

Key Responsibilities
- Process annuity claims
- Work with fixed and variable claims processing teams for more complex cases and resolutions, and go to legal and management with cases that require escalated review or analysis
- Run lien searches
- Assist with issuing checks to customers
- Respond to, validate, and/or approve varied and complex customer service requests and inquires for all customer segments, including top customers, by applying knowledge and following established practices and standards
- Review, research, problem solve, and recommend resolutions for non-routine customer inquiries
- Serve as a back up on their mailroom team so need to be open to processing physical mail
- May at times need to complete outreach work by contacting the beneficiaries. Not a big job responsibility but must be open to occasional phone work.

The right candidate will have an investigative mind that is okay with having multiple windows or tasks open. The ability to prioritize work is crucial. Self motivation, teamwork, and professional customer service skills are important for success in this role.

This is a Contract position based out of Minneapolis, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
