Support Community Health—Join Southside Community Health Services as a Licensed Dental Assistant

Southside Community Health Services (SCHS) in South Minneapolis is seeking a Licensed Dental Assistant to support high-quality, patient-centered dental care in a collaborative clinic environment. This role plays a key part in improving oral health access while advancing SCHS’s mission of equity and community wellness.

The Licensed Dental Assistant provides dental services within scope of licensure while supporting daily clinic operations, documentation standards, and team-based workflows. This position emphasizes collaboration, efficiency, and a commitment to exceptional patient care.

• Provide dental assisting services within scope, following best-practice standards
• Support SCHS clinical workflows, policies, and integrated care models
• Promote access to care and reduce barriers for patients
• Complete timely documentation, charting, and EHR tasks
• Support equipment, supplies, and routine maintenance needs
• Participate in staff meetings, training, and administrative requirements
• Provide patient education and assist with training or mentoring as needed
• Maintain full patient contact hours based on FTE

• Professional judgment, strong organization, and attention to detail

• Dental Assisting diploma or degree
• Active Minnesota Dental Assistant license in good standing
• Current CPR certification
