Be the First Point of Care—Join Southside Community Health Services as a Patient Care Representative (Dental)

Southside Community Health Services (SCHS) is a mission-driven nonprofit clinic in South Minneapolis seeking a Patient Care Representative – Dental (PCR-D) to support efficient patient flow, excellent customer service, and accurate front‑desk operations within the dental clinic.

About the Role

The PCR‑D serves as the primary point of contact for dental patients, supporting appointment scheduling, registration, insurance verification, and point‑of‑service collections. This role is essential to creating a welcoming patient experience while ensuring smooth clinic operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Answer phones, schedule and confirm dental appointments, and manage patient flow
  • Complete pre‑visit processes and ensure appointments are appropriately prepared
  • Greet patients, update registration information, and assist with new patient intake
  • Verify insurance coverage and identify opportunities for patient advocacy support
  • Assign charges and collect payments at the time of service
  • Maintain an organized, welcoming front office and lobby area
  • Participate in staff meetings, quality improvement activities, and clinic operations
  • Assist with additional duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • Training or experience as a dental assistant or dental receptionist
  • Experience scheduling dental appointments
  • Epic software experience preferred

    Bilingual (English/Spanish or Somali) preferred
  • Strong computer skills
