Position: Licensed Dental Assistant/ Treatment Coordinator - Edina Orthodontics

Treatment Coordinator – Dental Assistant

The Dental Specialists Orthodontics is a team‑oriented provider of state‑of‑the‑art orthodontic care for children and adults. We are looking for an outgoing, energetic licensed dental assistant to serve as our Treatment Coordinator.

Responsibilities
  • Establish relationships with new patients and guide them from initial consultation to treatment.
  • Present a professional image, provide excellent listening and communication skills, and confidently present treatment and financial options.
  • Assist the doctor in providing quality dental care.
Clinical Requirements
  • Minnesota licensure.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • American Heart Association basic life support for the healthcare provider.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Passionate about providing patient‑centered care and excellent patient service.
  • Experience in digital radiographs and electronic patient records.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Orthodontics experience preferred.
Work Schedule
  • Monday – Edina/Burnsville, 7:30–5:15 (40‑minute lunch).
  • Tuesday – Edina, 7:30–5:15 (40‑minute lunch).
  • Wednesday – Burnsville, 7:30–5:15 (40‑minute lunch).
  • Thursday – Edina, 7:30–5:15 (40‑minute lunch).
  • Friday – Off. Option to add a half day for patient follow‑up tasks.
  • June–August: adjusted summer hours 7:00–4:15 (30‑minute lunch).

Continuing Education

The Dental Specialists offers a wide range of continuing education courses throughout the year for team members, including required courses such as CPR and OSHA annual retraining. Dental assistants that attend all the courses offered throughout the year are able to fulfill their biannual requirements for 25 hours of continuing education. From endodontics, orthodontics, and periodontics to prosthodontics, pediatric dental, and oral surgery, we provide treatment solutions for all your dental needs.
