About the Job
Adjunct Assistant Faculty in the School of Dentistry's Comprehensive Care Clinic faculty are responsible for overseeing, teaching, and directing pre‑doctoral students in the comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, treatment, and management of dental patients. They support Group Leaders in evaluating the clinical and professional development of students. They must be proficient in teaching, demonstrating, and assessing general practice‑level procedures in restorative dentistry, prosthodontics, and periodontics, and in assessing and managing dental emergencies.
They are expected to support all clinical policies and procedures of the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry.
These are part‑time positions.
QualificationsRequired Qualifications:
- DDS, DMD, or equivalent degree
- Licensed to practice dentistry in Minnesota
- In good standing with the Minnesota Board of Dentistry
- Five or more years’ experience in the practice of general dentistry
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in clinical or preclinical teaching
- Experience in a community outreach setting
- AEGD or GPR certificate
Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. All qualified candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.
Pay and BenefitsPay Range: $2,013 – $55,667 (depending on education/qualifications/experience/FTE).
Retirement plan options are available for Civil Service, Faculty, Labor‑Represented, Professional & Administrative, and Temp‑Casual classifications.
