About the Role

The Dentist prevents and maintains oral health of the community through a collaborative and patient-centered team-approach to healthcare. This role exists to provide dental services to patients within the DDS/DMD scope of Practice.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality oral health care within the scope of licensure and in accordance with clinical standards, best practices, and SCHS policies and procedures.
  • Deliver patient-centered, integrated care through collaboration with other members of the care team and a commitment to reducing barriers to oral health services.
  • Maintain an assigned patient schedule and complete clinical documentation, coding, EHR tasks, and other administrative responsibilities accurately and timely.
  • Provide oral health education to patients and community groups as appropriate.
  • Support the training, mentorship, and day-to-day development of oral health team members and participate in peer review and quality improvement activities.
  • Maintain required licensure, certification, credentialing, and continuing education requirements.
  • Participate in staff meetings, committees, and other organizational activities as needed.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, accountability, sound judgment, and adherence to SCHS clinical, operational, safety, and risk-management expectations.
  • Perform other duties consistent with the role and scope of practice as assigned.

Experience and Requirements:
  • DDS/DMD and graduate of an accredited school of dentistry.
  • Valid and active Minnesota license and DEA Controlled Substance Registration Certificate required.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Licenses and certifications in good standing.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred; not required.
Position Details and Benefits

This is a full-time
(1.0 FTE), salary, exempt position with pay starting at $160,000/annually. This position is ELIGIBLE FOR STUDENT LOAN FORGIVENESS
