Interior Designer – Mid Level

Gensler is looking for an experienced interior designer to join our Minneapolis office. You will work on commercial interior projects in the Workplace, Hospitality, or Mixed Use sectors, managing all phases from programming and conceptual design to construction documentation and administration.

Responsibilities
  • Program client needs and lead conceptual and schematic design.
  • Prepare schematic design, design development, space planning, and construction documentation including floor plans, finish plans, specifications and material selections.
  • Participate in furniture, fabrics, equipment, color palette and lighting selection.
  • Support design concept execution and act as construction administration lead.
  • Manage external consultants, product reps, furniture dealers and fabricators.
  • Produce test fits and deliverables using Revit and other modeling tools.
  • Work on multiple concurrent projects across varying development phases.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture.
  • 7+ years of commercial interior design experience, ideally in Workplace, Hospitality or Mixed Use projects.
  • Proficient in Revit, Sketch Up, 3D, Enscape, Rhino, Grasshopper and/or Dynamo.
  • Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • Strong knowledge of furniture, finishes, materials, color selection, and specifications.
  • Excellent communication, visualization, and client presentation skills.
  • Committed to resilience and sustainable building practices.
  • NCIDQ certification preferred. LEED AP preferred.
Salary / Compensation

The base salary range is $72,000 to $85,000, commensurate with relevant experience. Employees are eligible for bonuses and standard benefits.
