Unfold Architecture is seeking a skilled and experienced Project Architect with strong design sensibility and a background in residential architecture. This role requires someone who is detail-oriented, technically proficient, and capable of managing multiple projects at various stages of design and construction.

Essential Duties
  • Lead design initiatives on various scales of residential architecture via direct client communication, consultation, and presentation
  • Develop, prepare, and review drawings utilizing Revit and other architectural drafting tools
  • Prepare code compliance evaluations and participate in reviews with governing agencies for zoning laws, fire regulations, building codes, and other ordinances
  • Participate in pre-design services such as feasibility studies, site selection, and cost analysis
  • Ensure design specifications are coordinated with drawings
  • Coordinate information and work on a multi-disciplined team
  • Interact & coordinate with clients and contractors throughout the design, development, and construction phases of a project
  • Report the status of the design process and cost analysis to appropriate individuals
  • Provide strong technical detailing skills in a variety of construction materials and building types
  • Help establish Unfold’s market presence as a boutique, high-end design firm by creating marketing materials, writing blog posts, event planning, and branding opportunities
Qualifications
  • 5-10 years of residential architectural experience
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Architecture or related work experience
  • Licensed Architect preferred but not required
  • Ability to persuasively and visually communicate ideas through written and verbal communication
  • Knowledge of building codes such as IRC, IBC, and ADA
  • Proficiency in Revit, Sketch Up, Enscape, and Adobe Suite
  • Self-directed and able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Project management experience is a plus
  • Demonstrated track record of successful past employment
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and collaborate with various team members across projects at all levels of completion
