Overview
Konik is partnering with a growing, relationship‑driven architectural firm to add a Project Architect / Project Manager to their team. This high‑visibility role involves taking ownership of commercial projects from design through construction, managing small teams, and supporting long‑term client relationships.
Location & CompensationHybrid locations:
Riverwoods, IL / Minneapolis, MN / NYC, NY / Houston, TX. Salary range: $90,000 – $115,000.
- Manage architectural projects from concept through construction administration.
- Lead day‑to‑day project execution, coordinating internal team members (typically 2–4 people).
- Collaborate with clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure project success.
- Develop and produce design documentation across all phases.
- Coordinate drawings, specifications, and technical details.
- Ensure compliance with building codes, zoning, and industry standards.
- Participate in construction administration, including submittals, site visits, and RFIs.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members.
- Support communication between all project stakeholders to maintain schedule and quality.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture; registration is a plus.
- 8–15 years of experience in architectural design and project management.
- Well‑rounded background across commercial project types.
- Experience managing projects and small teams in a fast‑paced environment.
- Proficiency in Revit (ability to navigate and make updates as needed).
- Strong understanding of building systems, detailing, and construction documentation.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience with financial institutions or recreational facilities (ice arenas, sports complexes) is a plus.
