Managing Principal – Minneapolis Architecture StudioWe are seeking a strong, local design professional to lead our Minneapolis architecture practice. The Managing Principal is accountable for strategic vision, leadership, quality assurance, and the profitability of the office to ensure the annual plan is implemented. The role requires collaboration with other Managing Principals across the region and firm to deliver exceptional service and grow the office.
The Managing Principal will work with their team and market sector leadership to develop relationships with target clients and pursue new projects in the surrounding region. Responsibilities include pursuing new work in collaboration with local designers, technical leaders, and national experts, and overseeing activities of personnel within the office including annual plans, marketing strategies, public relations, project planning, financial planning and management, staff planning and oversight, and other related matters.
The role also involves establishing local office policies, adherence to corporate policies, managing project contract financials and budgets with Marketing and Project Management, and maintaining quality control processes. The Managing Principal may lead and manage teams on larger projects and perform other duties as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a closely related field
- A minimum of 10 years of management experience
- Professional Architectural registration
- Good leadership and organizational skills
- Service- and client-related mindset
- Maintains professional or engineering registration and related technical experience
- Extensive experience in development and management of diverse teams
- Active participation in our employee-owned culture
- Healthcare, Higher Education, and/or Science industry experience
- Preference for candidates in the local market
