Designs and specifies project appropriate architectural requirements
Plans and develops projects of various sizes and works under supervision
Investigates, evaluates and recommends design solutions, prioritizes work, receives guidance on complex issues
Performs Revit modeling and detailing with team
Participates in cross-discipline discussions and coordination with multidisciplinary teammates
Conducts site investigations and observations
Prepares basic narratives, reports, drawing and specification documents in accordance with a high degree of quality, with regard to project schedule and budget constraints
Participates in construction administration by reviewing shop drawings and submittals, responding to RFI's, working to solve construction issues, and performing site visits to assess general conformance with the design concept
Assists with marketing and business development activities
Travel for project-related activities may be required
Coordinating the work of junior professionals and technicians
Exercise independent judgment in evaluation, selection, and use of standard techniques, working to solve problems when encountered, and receives guidance on complex projects
Competent in general conventional aspects of architecture
Performs work requiring independent judgment in evaluation, selection, and adaptation/modification of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria
Independently solves problems encountered
Diverse knowledge of architecture principles and practices uses advanced techniques
Responsible for finished plans, specifications, or approval of materials and construction
Applies sound and diverse knowledge of architecture principles and practices in a broad array of assignments and related fields

Requires use of advanced techniques and modification/extension of theories, precepts, and practices of individual's field
Confirms scope of work and contractual obligations with project manager
Understands the project(s) scope, and plans and develops concepts and approaches appropriate to the construction budget and the disciplines in carrying out the project work
Follows the project plan and informs the project manager of obstacles
Performs code analysis
Works with specifications team, project manager and owner to coordinate specifications and front-end documents
Coordinates agency reviews/plan check/fire marshal/commissions/etc.
Plans and develops projects of medium to large scope and works under minimal supervision
May oversee a large staff of architects and technicians
Responsible for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating assignments
Plans and develops architectural projects concerning unique and/or controversial complexities that significantly impact major company programs
Involves exploration of subject area, definition of scope, selection of items for investigation, and development
Responsible for maintaining team progress and meeting project deliverables and deadlines from contract with client or consultants
Assures overall quality, completeness, and accuracy of Construction Documents
Assures that project team is mindful of the sustainable, LEED or Well goals of the Owner
Coordinates project design and schedule with all consultants
Attends meetings with Owner as required by Project Manager/prepare meeting minutes
Responsible for jurisdictional compliance and code compliance
May supervise a small staff of architects and technicians
Supervision and guidance mainly concern overall objectives, critical issues, new concepts, and policy matters
Confirms scope of work and contractual obligations with project manager
Qualifications- 8 years in AEC
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Architecture from an accredited college or university
- Architecture registration required.

- Maintains knowledge of current industry trends on space, function, materials, etc. Proficiency with computer software including Revit Architecture required. Working knowledge of Sketch-Up and Adobe Creative Suite/Bluebeam preferred. Time management and organization skills with the ability to be involved and remain current on issues relating to a number of one-two projects in various stages. Demonstrated ability to develop awareness and begin to lead team coordination of contract documents.
Strong graphic, verbal, and written communication skills. Positive attitude and commitment to being an active participant working as part of a multidiscipline team
