Job Title
Job Duties
Work with project managers and estimators to combine shop drawings, product data, and material requirements to create a complete set of submittals.
Streamline the drafting process.
Produce detailed drawings using AutoCAD software.
Gather all the information needed to complete accurate drawings.
Develop designs that can be produced economically to maintain or improve company's competitive position.
Update designs and check accuracy.
Assist with analyzing results and redesign if required.
Partners with estimators to make sure the building package is put together correctly.
Use computer assisted design/drafting equipment and software to develop designs
Perform other duties as assigned in order to keep up with company needs.
Minimum Education RequiredHigh school diploma, or GED.
Minimum Experience RequiredMinimum of 2 years' experience in AutoCAD.
Requires ability to read and interpret construction drawing and specification.
Strong analytical, organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel & AutoCAD.
Attend job site meetings for trade coordination when necessary.
Possess strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
Must be US Citizen, or Green Card Holder.
Must be local to the MN area. Sorry, no relocations.
Preferred QualificationsExperience with exterior architectural metal panels and metal roof systems are beneficial.
Knowledge of other construction software including material optimization programs, and On Screen Takeoff.
Experience interpreting field dimensions and creating fab layouts for ACM/Aluminum Plate projects is a huge plus.
