Are you currently enrolled in a 2-year or 4-year program and looking to take what you've learned in the classroom into the real world? The Building Information Modeling (BIM) Internship at Enclos is your opportunity to get hands-on experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) while supporting some of the most complex and recognizable building projects in the country.

This isn't a coffee-run internship. You'll work alongside experienced designers, engineers, and project teams, developing complex models that help bring iconic architectural visions to life.

What You'll Experience Start with Training:
Learn the fundamentals of curtain wall façade systems, BIM workflows, and the role of VDC in modern construction.

Explore Digital Design:
Gain exposure to design development, 3D modeling, coordination, and fabrication modeling.

Get Hands-On:
Create and modify project models using Revit and Rhino while supporting real project teams.

Participate in Coordination:
Attend coordination meetings and learn how BIM models are used to identify clashes, solve design challenges, and improve constructability.

By the end of the internship, you'll have a strong foundation in BIM and VDC processes, real-world modeling experience, and a deeper understanding of how digital technologies support the delivery of complex façade projects.

What You'll Gain Practical experience using Revit, Rhino, and other BIM/VDC technologies.

Exposure to facade modeling, design coordination, and construction workflows.

Experience working with multidisciplinary teams on active projects.

A better understanding of how digital models support engineering, fabrication, and installation.

Connections with industry professionals across design, engineering, and construction.

A head start on your career: successful interns may be invited back part-time during the school year or considered for full-time roles after graduation.

What We're Looking For Current enrollment (or recent graduate) in a 2- or 4-year program in Architectural Drafting, Mechanical Drafting, Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

Experience with or exposure to Revit and/or Rhino.

Ability to read architectural or mechanical drawings/blueprints.

Interest in the Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) career path.

Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn new technologies.

Curiosity, collaboration, and a passion for design and construction.

Program Details

Location:

Enclos Corporate Office, 3600 American Blvd W, Bloomington, MN

Schedule:

Monday–Friday, between 8 a.m.–5 p.m.Duration: 10–12 weeks in Summer 2027

Compensation:
Paid internship, with potential to transition into a permanent role after graduation.

Internship positions are not eligible for benefits, incentive bonus, or holiday pay.
