Key Responsibilities:
- Provide inpatient Hematology/Oncology care with a focus on malignant hematology
- Cover 30-40 shared patients daily, with approximately 20-23 patients per provider
- Perform specialized procedures related to malignant hematology
- Take call as needed, supporting the care transition outside of scheduled hours
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including APPs, during the day
- Manage infusion treatments and medical oncology procedures
- Document care using Epic EMR
- Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Hematology, and Medical Oncology (Triple Boarded)
- MN medical license (IMLC accepted for expedited start)
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in Hematology/Oncology
- Ability to perform malignant hematology procedures
- DEA license
- BLS certification
- Quick credentialing process with emergency privileges available upon approval and a clean background
- Willingness to work weekdays (8:00 AM 4:30 PM) and take call
Skills:
- Previous experience working in large hospital or infusion center settings
- Familiarity with EMR systems, especially Epic
- Flexibility to work at multiple facilities, including United Hospital and Cambridge Medical Center
- Experience managing complex oncology cases in inpatient settings
Education and Experience:
- Medical degree from an accredited institution
- Board certification in Internal Medicine, Hematology, and Oncology, with at least 2 years of post-certification experience
- Proven competence in malignant hematology procedures and infusion management
- MN licensure, IMLC accepted for expedited licensing
- DEA registration
- Ability to obtain emergency privileges within approximately 90 days
- Willingness to work 8:00 AM 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with on-call duties
- Eligible to support shift coverage at multiple facilities as needed
Hourly Pay Rate: $463.13
