About the Position
Hematology/Oncology Physician
Join our esteemed team as a Hematology/Oncology Physician and make a meaningful impact in patient care at leading Minneapolis medical centers. This critical role offers you the opportunity to work in a dynamic hospital setting, providing expert care to patients with malignant hematology and oncology conditions. We are seeking dedicated clinicians to support inpatient services, including taking call as needed, with an emphasis on high-quality, patient-centered treatment.
Required Skills:
Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Hematology, and Oncology (Triple Boarded)
MN Medical License (IMLC accepted)
Minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience
Proficient in managing malignant hematology and oncology cases
Demonstrated ability to perform necessary procedures and infusion coverage
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
BLS certification
DEA license
Nice to Have
Skills:
Experience working with Epic EMR system
Prior involvement in hospital-based hematology/oncology practice
Additional proficiency in solid tumor management
Experience with emergency privileges acquisition process
Preferred
Education and Experience:
Medical degree from an accredited institution
Completion of fellowship in Hematology and Oncology
Prior hospital-based practice experience, especially in inpatient oncology settings
Other Requirements:
MN medical license and DEA registration
Availability to start as soon as credentialing is complete, ideally by April 13, 2026
Ability to support 30-40 patients daily, with 20-23 patients per provider
Shift coverage includes scheduled hours (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM) and on-call responsibilities
Willingness to support shifts at United Hospital and Cambridge Medical Center if needed
Emergency privileges available upon credentialing with a clean background
Competitive hourly pay rate of $463.13, with weekly direct deposit payments, comprehensive benefits, and a supportive team dedicated to your success. This full-time assignment is initially scheduled for six months, with the possibility of extension or conversion to permanent placement, plus potential buyout opportunities.
