Prep Day Friday June 12th, 8:15 am- 3:15 pm
Compensation: BA= $40.75/Hour, MA= $44.95/Hour
Note: This is not eligible for health and dental benefits unless a current contracted teacher through Wayzata Public Schools.
Position DescriptionThe Summer Learning Academic Class Teacher will provide instruction in the areas of, but not limited to, English Language Arts and mathematics. The teacher is also responsible for creating a classroom environment which fosters learning and personal growth; to motivate pupils to develop skills, attitudes and knowledge needed to provide an excellent education, in accordance with each pupil's ability; to establish effective rapport with pupils, parents;
and to work collaboratively with other staff members.
- Must have a valid MN License
- Ideal candidates should have experience with multiple instructional designs and differentiated strategies that support diverse learners.
- Must have strong classroom management skills with the ability to maintain a positive learning environment.
- Must have the ability to build positive working relationships with students, parents, and staff.
- Must be proficient with current technology used to support communication, academics, and student progress monitoring.
