Overview
Available position for the 2026-27 school year:
Full Time Early Childhood Special Education Teacher with the Early Intervention Team. New Hope Learning Center. 189-day calendar stretched across 12 months. Salary and benefits based on the current Teacher Collective Bargaining Agreement.
- Reports to appropriate special education supervisory staff and principals.
- Provides support and special education services to students in the Early Intervention program.
- Performs necessary assessment and evaluation procedures for special education students.
- Conducts home or community site visits using coaching and evidenced-based early intervention practices.
- Provides an individualized family service plan for infants/toddlers and their caregivers based upon needs identified by evaluation.
- Follows necessary due process procedures and case management responsibilities, including following the Primary Service Provider model.
- Acts as an advocate for students/families and assists in carrying out department and school district goals.
- Collaborates with Early Learning and district colleagues, other specialists and outside agencies.
- Communicates with IFSP team members and families/caregivers.
- Actively engages in professional development opportunities.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor s degree
- Current Minnesota Early Childhood Special Education license
Job Requirements
- The employee is frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and get up and down from the floor independently.
- The employee must have a valid driver s license and ability to drive themselves to and from homes/community sites within the district boundaries.
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds for students who are wheelchair-bound and students with other special needs.
