- Traditional Ground Campus students succeed. We are looking for a motivated University Admissions Counselor to oversee the Minneapolis, MN territory in this work‑from‑home opportunity. Starting salary is $58,656 per year with a tenure‑based compensation plan that allows you to increase your earning potential upon the completion of each year‑long recruitment cycle.
- Has a servant’s heart. Build awareness of our academic programs and campus community, drive inquiry generation, and provide exceptional counseling to prospective students and their families through in‑person, phone, email, text, or Zoom interactions.
- Hustles. Connect with community college students, faculty, and staff within local community colleges and engage all major stakeholders in the territory through fairs, school visits, presentations, events, and campus visits.
- Bleeds purple. Represent Grand Canyon University in the territory and promote the transformation and campus experience.
- Is purposeful. This is a work‑from‑home role with ambitious targets. Work independently to support prospective GCU campus students and families through the admissions process, guiding them toward a successful campus experience.
- A bachelor’s degree. No delinquent or in default on a federal student loan as verified in your credit report. If in a rehabilitation program, the report must reflect that you are current on payments.
- Outstanding time management and organization skills. You will juggle multiple responsibilities, including travel.
- Clear communication and engaging presentation skills. Ability to explain concepts to diverse audiences in person, in writing, and on the phone; strong listening skills.
- Self‑motivation and drive to succeed. Take ownership and go above and beyond what is expected.
- High emotional intelligence. Ability to coach a diverse range of students and families and to build relationships with community colleges and staff.
- A valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, a flexible schedule, and willingness to travel. Requires a clean driving record; some events may occur in evenings or weekends. If residing outside Phoenix, expect 1–3 trips per month to Phoenix.
- Computer literacy. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other digital tools used in a remote workforce.
- Attended Grand Canyon University on campus and as an alumnus/a, with ability to share your experience with prospective students.
