Early Childhood Substitute Teacher, Assistant Teacher, or Aide

With Just In Time Teachers, you get to spend meaningful days with infants, toddlers, and preschoolers while choosing the days and times you're available to work. Whether you want a few days a week or a full schedule, this role flexes around you. We ask that our team is available a minimum of 16 hours per week, Monday through Friday between 6:30am and 6:00pm, so we can reliably support the classrooms that depend on us.

We support child care centers across the Twin Cities Metro and surrounding areas when their teachers are out, classrooms need extra hands, or long-term placements are needed. That means your work directly helps keep classrooms open, routines stable, and children cared for by someone kind, capable, and confident.

What your days look like: Each day may be a little different, but you will always be stepping into a classroom where you are truly needed. You will:

• Create a safe, warm, and engaging space for children
• Support routines like playtime, meals, naps, diapering, and clean-up
• Jump into activities and lessons to keep the day running smoothly
• Work alongside directors and teachers to support their classrooms
• Be a calm, dependable presence for little learners
