Key Responsibilities:Instruction & Student Support
- Provide specialized direct instruction and interventions aligned with students’ IEPs.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to foster inclusive learning environments.
- Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed.
- Take an active role in developing, reviewing, and implementing IEPs in compliance with state regulations.
- Uphold due process by ensuring all required timelines, procedural safeguards, and documentation requirements are met.
- Coordinate evaluations, re-evaluations, and related assessments in accordance with federal and state guidelines.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of services, progress, and educational decisions that support defensible practices.
- Ensure the delivery of appropriate accommodations, modifications, and services with fidelity.
- Partner with families and school staff to support student growth and promote positive school experiences.
- Engage in professional learning, training, and collaboration with the TCEC team to stay informed on best practices.
- Serve as a resource for instructional strategies, behavioral support, inclusive practices, and legal compliance.
- Must be a Licensed Special Education Teacher in Minnesota
. License areas included are one of the following: DCD, ABS, Autism. - Strong background in working with students with autism spectrum disorders, including familiarity with evidence-based strategies such as structured teaching, visual supports, and behavior interventions.
- Strong background in implementing regulation strategies and best practice for trauma based teaching.
- Experience with IEP development, instructional planning, student progress monitoring, and procedural safeguards.
- Strong knowledge of due process requirements, and special education compliance standards.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Understanding of diverse learning disabilities and evidence-based intervention strategies.
- Bilingual or multicultural experience is a plus.
