6-8 hours/day, between the hours of 7:00 am - 5:30 pm

Position Overview

Wayzata Public Schools is seeking a Lead Program Assistant for our Summer Rising K's Pre-Kindergarten program.

The Lead Program Instructor is responsible for assisting in the daily operations of the program and provides leadership in the absence of the Wayzata Early Learning Manager, Specialist, or Leadership team.

Position Description

Lead Program Instructors are part of the site leadership team. They will provide support and positive behavior intervention strategies for children, and lead staff to successfully work in an inclusive environment.

This position is responsible for assisting with supervision and training of staff, curriculum prep, scheduling and substitute adjustments, parent communication, and leadership of the site.

Lead Program Instructors are also responsible for the safety of the children enrolled and overall success of daily operations in the summer Rising K's program.

Qualifications
  • Has a passion for working with children in a fast-paced, enriching environment
  • A flexible team player who has the ability to problem solve and handle multiple tasks at a time
  • Customer focused individual who is comfortable communicating with families
  • Comfortable working with students with needs
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working with children
