Work Hours

6.5 hours per day (8:35 a.m. to 3:35 p.m.), Monday through Friday, beginning immediately through May 27, 2026.

• Assist student(s) with special needs in the classroom (i.e. behavior management, social skills, crisis intervention and instruction in basic skills)
• Supervise special education student(s) to ensure safety
• Assist with collecting and monitoring of student progress data.

• High School diploma
• Highly Qualified per MDE requirements for special education paraprofessionals*
• Acceptance of students' disabilities and limitations
• Must be able to lift, pull, or move a minimum of 50 pounds
• Accepts direction from supervising teacher(s) and is willing to work as a team
• Attach passing exam scores from either the Para Pra / Para Educator or college transcripts to your application.

Salary based on the  Paraprofessional Agreement Level V, Step 2 at $19.35 per hour.
