Candidates should have a Ph.D. in physics or a closely related field by the start date.

Preferred qualifications

Experience with quantum magnetism, strongly correlated systems, spin-orbit-coupled materials, or spectroscopic response functions is desirable.

About the Department

The project will focus primarily on Raman response in models of strongly spin-orbit-coupled quantum materials, including Kitaev and related frustrated magnetic systems. The work will involve analytical and/or numerical studies of light-matter coupling, spin-orbital excitations, and spectroscopic signatures of correlated quantum phases.

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: $62,232 - $65,000 per year; depending on education/qualifications/experience
