Position: Wayzata Kids Program Instructor - 2026-27 School Year

Job Overview

Hours:

7.5 hours per day (10:30 am – 6:00 pm)

Positions available at North Woods Elementary and Gleason Lake Elementary.

The Wayzata Kids program provides high‑quality child care for children in Kindergarten through Grade 5, offering engaging activities that foster positive youth development.

Position Description

Program Instructors are part of the site leadership team, providing support and positive behavior intervention strategies for children enrolled in the Wayzata Kids program. They are responsible for the safety and overall well‑being of the children, and for designing activities that align with youth interests. This is a school‑year only position with an option to work the summer Wayzata Kids program, and it includes working on non‑school days.

Responsibilities
  • Provide support and positive behavior intervention strategies for enrolled children.
  • Ensure the safety and overall well‑being of all children in the program.
  • Design and implement activities based on youth interests.
  • Communicate effectively with families and maintain a customer‑focused approach.
Qualifications
  • Passion for working with children in a fast‑paced, enriching environment.
  • Flexible team player with strong problem‑solving and multitasking abilities.
  • Customer‑focused individual comfortable communicating with families.
  • Ability to design activities based on youth interest.
  • Comfortable working with students with additional needs.
