Position: Instructor of New Testament

In an effort to support pastoral training in the majority world, TLI is looking for qualified men to serve as Instructors at seminaries overseas. The position requires you to take 4-5 international trips each year. The ideal candidate has a terminal degree in New Testament, a deep commitment to and experience in the local church, and proven competency in creating and teaching formal courses cross‑culturally.

While in the US, Instructors help coordinate the work with TLI partner colleges and seminaries as well as working on research and writing projects.
Instructors must develop their own personal support network.

Responsibilities

Aid the President in implementing of the vision of TLI

Travel overseas 4-5 times a year. Trips will include teaching modular courses, engaging students inside and outside the classroom, and meeting with the school leaders to aid in continuously improving the training programs. Trips will primarily be to formal training schools but may also include non-formal expository preaching courses.

Closely mentor volunteer faculty as they create their courses and prepare to teach cross‑culturally

Take primary responsibility for the relationships and coordination with one of our formal school partners

Assist in recruiting volunteer faculty. This may include traveling to seminaries and churches.

Participate as a presenter as well as establishing and deepening relationships at conferences related to evangelical scholarship and cross‑cultural missions

Engage in professional writing projects related to your area of specialization and the mission of TLI

Perform research and writing projects for internal use at TLI

Develop and maintain your own support network.
