The primary responsibility of our passionate and dedicated Science teacher is to inspire curiosity, critical thinking, and scientific literacy while teaching courses in Biology, Anatomy, and Physiology to high school students. This educator will foster a rigorous and engaging learning environment rooted in academic excellence, relationship-building, and De La Salle ’s Catholic educational mission.

- Implements and enforces school policies regarding attendance, behavior, and academic integrity.
- Creates a student-centered learning environment that fosters collaboration, critical thinking, and problem‑solving skills.
- Differentiates instruction to accommodate diverse learning styles and academic needs.
- Assesses student learning through formative and summative assessments, adjusting instruction as needed to ensure mastery.
- Provides timely and meaningful feedback to students, guiding them toward academic improvement.
- Works collaboratively with other faculty members, administrators, and support staff to enhance student success.
- Participates in professional learning communities and attends relevant workshops, conferences, and training sessions.
- Communicates effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and areas for growth.
- Leads or assists in extracurricular activities such as Environmental Club, Science Club, or tutoring programs.
- Organizes and participates in school-wide events that promote STEM education.
- Engages with parents, local businesses, and community organizations to support student learning and career pathways.
- Prepares students for standardized tests such as the SAT, ACT, and AP exams by incorporating test‑taking strategies into lessons.
- Promotes scientific literacy and problem‑solving skills essential for college and STEM-related careers.
- Encourages students to take advanced science courses and participate in science-related extracurricular activities.
