Assistant or Associate Professor, Entrepreneurship
OverviewThe Entrepreneurship Department at the University of St. Thomas Opus College of Business invites applications for a full-time faculty position at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. The starting date for this position will be August 2024.
We seek an outstanding candidate with the potential for excellent teaching and high-quality research in entrepreneurship, and the commitment to serve the Department, College, and University. Primary duties of the position include teaching a wide range of undergraduate and graduate courses that include topics such as Opportunity Assessment, Innovation and Design Thinking, New Venture Strategy, Lean Start-Up, and Entrepreneurial Finance; scholarly work that includes engagement in USASBE and/or other entrepreneurship academic organizations;
and service that includes activities such as advising students within the major and mentoring student teams in business plan competitions.
Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications.
QualificationsMinimum Qualifications
- Ph.D. (U.S. or foreign equivalent), or, alternatively ABD with a close completion date, in entrepreneurship or a related field.
- Demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching, and the ability to teach both undergraduate and graduate courses in entrepreneurship.
- Strong research agenda with potential to publish high-quality research in peer-reviewed journals.
