Position Summary
Minneapolis College is seeking a temporary, part‑time instructor for the Fashion Design Technology Program for the Fall 2026 semester. The instructor will teach FADE 1025:
Fashion Imaging and FADE 2115:
Product Development and Manufacturing. The position is a fixed‑term, part‑time assignment under the Limited Academic classification.
- Under 5 credits: $1,650 per semester credit.
- More than 5 credits: temporary part‑time salary, placement based on education and experience per the 2025‑2027 Master Agreement.
- Teach FADE 1025 and FADE 2115 courses.
- Prepare instructional materials, assessments, and provide timely feedback.
- Engage adult, multi‑lingual, disabled, and international learners.
- Participate in student‑support activities and program meetings.
- Commit to continuous professional development and inclusion practices.
- Associate degree in apparel design, fashion design, clothing design, or textiles.
- Four full‑time or equivalent years of verified, related paid occupational experience in apparel design, pattern making, and production.
- One year of experience within the last five years (recency) or two years of full‑time postsecondary teaching in the credential field.
- Experience with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat.
- Continuous professional development related to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Ability to educate adult, multilingual, disabled, and international learners.
- Industry experience or certification in fashion design.
- Post‑secondary teaching experience.
- Strong interpersonal and team‑building skills.
Schedule varies; may include weekend instruction.
