Building​/Long-Call Substitute Teacher, K-8, FTE

Overview

Win Cities International Schools (TCIS) is hiring for a year‑round full time (1.0 FTE) 2026‑27 K‑8 Building/Long‑Call Substitute Teacher. The role will include teaching a 6th‑8th Grade ELA class starting approximately October 1, 2026 through February 2027 as the Building Substitute. This is an annual contract covering the entire 2026‑27 school year.

• Providing direct instruction and facilitating learning for all students
• Teaching assigned grade classes/subjects using the plans set forth by the absent teacher
• Meeting the needs of each student through individual and group instruction
• Following all policies and procedures applicable to regular teachers and good teaching practice
• Communicating clearly with staff and students and contributing positively to the learning and development of students
• Performing additional administrative, supervision, or miscellaneous tasks and duties as assigned when not in the classroom
• Utilizing standards‑based instruction, supporting English Language Learners, and participating in common assessments (a plus)

• Valid Minnesota Teaching License or valid Short/Long‑Call Substitute license by date of hire
• Experience teaching K‑8 (preferred for 6th‑8th Grade ELA)
• Ability to plan and deliver lessons using provided instructional plans
• Strong communication, classroom management, and collaboration skills

Salary is determined by experience and education, with licensed employee salaries ranging from $47,568.18 to $85,922.88 for the 2026‑27 school year. Current Minnesota licensed Tier 3 or 4 teacher salary starts at $51,828.55. Additional salary increases are available for completed Master’s, Master’s + 60 credits, Ed.D. or Ph.D.
