Position Summary
1.0 FTE Secondary Science Teacher (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) at Spring Lake Park Schools.
ResponsibilitiesEngage students in inquiry-driven, hands‑on science learning that sparks curiosity and builds deep understanding through real‑world phenomena and current scientific issues.
Develop transferable skills including critical thinking, problem solving, collaboration, communication, and data analysis through challenging, scaffolded tasks and collaborative inquiry.
Create learning experiences that emphasize anchor phenomena, sense‑making, conceptual modeling, and scientific discourse.
QualificationsB.A. or B.S. degree and holds or is eligible for a Minnesota State Licensure in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math.
Committed to the equitable education of all students, with creative planning, organizational skills, and highly effective interpersonal skills.
Preferred QualificationsExperience collaborating with colleagues and working with diverse learners, demonstrated commitment to ongoing learning through graduate‑level work or earned degree, and participation in professional organization conferences or seminars relating to the content area.
Compensation$53,228 - $107,781 per school year (placement determined based on experience and qualifications).
