Student And Staff Safety Manager
Intermediate District 287 is looking for a Student And Staff Safety Manager! Intermediate District 287 serves students in grades K-12, as well as transition age students (18-22 years old), from our 12 member districts in the west metro area. Our district offers a wide range of services and specialized programs, primarily focused on setting IV special education, that is designed to meet the diverse needs of our students.

Salary:
Minimum starting salary for Administrative Managers is $79,000

Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in law enforcement, behavior, safety, and security, or a related field received from an accredited institution AND two (2) years of experience working with individuals with disabilities and/or complex needs.
- Must have a working knowledge of de-escalation techniques and intervention strategies. Substitution Allowed:
- An equivalent combination of education and experience, as listed in the general education and experience above, will be considered as having an acceptable substitution.
Licensure Requirements
- First Aid and CPR Certified
- Minnesota Protective Agent License (preferred)
- State of Minnesota Emergency Manager Certified (Preferred)
Essential Functions
The following identifies the essential functions of the position and is not intended to be an exhaustive listing of all duties.
- Lead the training, coaching, mentoring, and professional development of Student Safety Coaches;
- Manages and oversees Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI), Everyday Behavior Tools, and related training Collaborates with special education department for Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI), Everyday Behavior Tools, and related training;
- Leads critical incident and restrictive procedure data collection. Assists staff in analyzing and interpreting data to provide an objective assessment of the effectiveness of individual student and program interventions
- Promote equitable student safety, behavior-response practices, and learning outcomes for all students.
