Adjunct Faculty:
Hmong Language Instructor
Part‑time, adjunct faculty position to teach one section of each of the following courses:
- HMO 111:
Beginning Hmong I – Fall 2026 (Tues & Thurs 10:10–11:40am, 9/2/2026 – 12/18/2026) - HMO 112:
Beginning Hmong II – Spring 2027 (Tues & Thurs 10:10–11:40am, 1/19/2027 – 5/7/2027)
Each course requires approximately 12–15 hours per week for 15–16 weeks.
Responsibilities- Deliver instruction and develop course materials for the assigned classes.
- Grade student work and provide timely feedback.
- Respond to student questions via e‑mail and hold scheduled office hours.
- Communicate regularly with the course coordinator and provide course progress information.
- Utilize Moodle for course management (familiarity preferred).
- BA in a relevant field with significant experience teaching Hmong, preferably at the college level.
- MA preferred.
- Bachelor's degree and significant professional experience.
- $6,100 to $6,475 per undergraduate course
* for the 2026‑27 academic year. - Eligible for 2–4% retirement contribution match.
- Tuition discount for employees and dependents.
- Not eligible for health care benefits.
* Course refers to a typical 4‑credit undergraduate or 3‑credit graduate course that has met minimum enrollment requirements.
