Special Services Paraprofessional; K-8

St. Charles Borromeo School is looking for a dedicated K-8 Special Services Paraprofessional who loves God, the Catholic Faith, and students with special needs. This paraprofessional will work with our dynamic and talented teachers and district SPED support team, partnering with parents to bring out the best in our students.

Our mission is to make disciples of Jesus Christ who strive for excellence in faith, virtue, service, and academics. We have been delivering on that mission reliably since 1939, generation after generation. We are a two‑homeroom per grade level, preschool‑8th grade institution dedicated to our vocation as Catholic educators.

• Cultivate the Catholic faith, virtuous character, and a love for learning
• Provide direct instruction to students
• Perform limited screening and assessment
• Assist with providing adaptation in classroom assignments and curriculum
• Pre‑teach and re‑teach identified general education material
• Provide alternative testing formats
• Attend planning/monitoring meetings
• Advocate for students to general education teachers, administrators, and parents
• Support students' physical needs, including bathroom assistance if needed
• Be committed to continually developing skills and improving as a paraprofessional
• Collaborate with general education teachers regarding student‑specific IEPs, accommodations, modifications, and interventions to assist students in growing to their fullest potential
• Honor and support school initiatives, administrative decisions, the vision of our archdiocese, and the Catholic Church
