More than 8,600 diverse student learners are provided an exceptional education experience throughout the district's early learning center, six elementary schools (K–Grade
5) including both French and Spanish Immersion programs, two middle schools (Grades 6–8), a high school (9–12), and the Edina Virtual Pathway online program.
Custodian
Location: Edina Community Center | Status: Non-Exempt | Schedule: Full-time (8 hours/day M-F, 3:00pm-11:30pm), 12-Month Position
Position SummaryThe Custodian supports the school district by performing general cleaning within assigned areas, hallways, restrooms, gyms and school areas in accordance with cleaning schedules and work assignments to provide a safe, clean learning environment for students, faculty and staff.
Education And Experience Requirements- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Boiler license preferred or ability to obtain one.
- Mechanical aptitude for performing and learning repair work.
- Custodian experience preferred, but not required. Training will be provided.
- Interest in working in a school district environment.
- Ability to effectively communicate with students, employees, and visitors.
- Ability to effectively collaborate with employees.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Salary Range:
The wage for this position ranges from $24.26 to $25.67 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. Most candidates will start at the entry-level rate of $24.26 per hour.

Eligible employees also receive paid time off in accordance with the provisions outlined in the employee work agreement.
