Key Responsibilities- Deliver virtual training for CYME software, covering foundational and advanced functionality. Facilitate hands-on exercises, labs, and real-world scenarios to reinforce learning and practical application.
- Translate complex electrical engineering and power system concepts into clear, learner-friendly instruction.
- Develop, maintain, and update training materials, including presentations, lab guides, exercises, and job aids.
- Assess learner understanding during training sessions and adjust delivery to accommodate varying skill levels.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Professional Services, and Support teams to ensure training content aligns with current functionality and best practices.
- Gather and analyze learner feedback to continuously improve course content, delivery methods, and overall training effectiveness.
- Maintain training readiness, including lab environments, datasets, and training configurations.
- Support development of blended learning solutions, including self-paced or eLearning content, as needed. Stay current on CYME product updates, industry standards, and utility best practices to ensure training remains relevant and accurate.
- Track training activities and outcomes in designated systems or reports, as required.
- Strong presentation and facilitation skills with the ability to teach technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Familiarity with power engineering terms such as KW, transmission, and generation.
- CYME software knowledge or familiarity (internal Eaton system; candidates from utility companies may also be familiar).
- Knowledge of electric utility distribution/transmission fundamentals (e.g., load flow, short circuit, protection, reliability, grounding, integration studies).
- Familiarity with adult learning frameworks.
- Prior customer-facing experience supporting enterprise implementations or software.
- Application engineering experience due to direct work with customers.
- Industry experience at utilities (e.g., XL Energy) or competitor companies (e.g., Siemens or Honeywell).
- Bachelor's Degree required. Engineering degree preferred. Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree with a strong background in adult learning, instructional design, training, or workforce education.
- Ideal candidates possess an electrical or computer engineering degree.
- Previous experience in customer enablement, training delivery, or equivalent experience.
- 3 years of experience required with an engineering degree; 5 or more years required without an engineering degree but with electrical sector experience.
- Experience training workforce personnel in the utility or electrical engineering field.
- Prior customer-facing experience supporting enterprise implementations or software.
Physical Requirements
- A flexible hybrid schedule requires the candidate to be in the Plymouth office 2 to 3 days per week.
- Initial training will be virtual, with potential for in-person delivery depending on the candidate's capacity.
- Local candidates near Minneapolis will work in a hybrid setup; candidates outside the Minneapolis area may work fully remote.
