HLA-Nis currently seeking a hard-working, passionate, and goal-oriented educator to join our team as the 4th Grade Math (Departmentalized) Teacher for the school year.
Job SummaryElementary teachers are responsible for providing rigorous, standards-based, and highly engaging learning environments. Nearly 85% of our scholars are multilingual learners, and we are seeking a candidate who is passionate about supporting language learners to meet and exceed grade-level standards. Teachers will strive to ensure that all Hiawatha Academies scholars are empowered with the knowledge, character and leadership skills to graduate from college and serve the common good.
Position OverviewThis position is focused on teaching math within a departmentalized model. The teacher will lead their own homeroom class: teaching phonics, social studies, and WIN (What I Need), and then teach math to all 4th-grade scholars across three periods.
TeamworkElementary teachers will work alongside grade level teammates, special education teachers, specialist teachers, and under the guidance of the campus leadership team. The Elementary Teacher prepares lessons and provides instruction to students.
