This position is for the 2026‑2027 school year.
Hope Academy, a private, Christ‑centered school in Minneapolis, is seeking a passionate, faith‑filled Math & Reading Interventionist to provide support and instruction to students who are struggling. This is a federally funded position.
Job Details
- Title:
K‑5 Math & Reading Interventionist, Title I - School year: 2026‑27
- Hours:
22 hours/week, Monday‑Thursday, 9:45 a.m.–3:15 p.m. - Pay: $30–$40 per hour, based on experience.
- Benefits:
Eligible for health benefits.
- Provide Tier II small‑group instruction to students identified as at‑risk for reading and math.
- Use evidence‑based strategies and interventions to support student learning.
- Monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to ensure students receive necessary support.
- Attend Title I staff meetings, data meetings, and professional development opportunities as required.
- Minimum BS or BA in Education with licensure that includes K‑5.
- Valid teaching license in good standing.
- Training in intervention methods such as Orton‑Gillingham and/or Lindamood‑Bell strongly preferred; certification evidence required.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Supportive of the school's mission to foster hope in God within the inner‑city neighborhood of Minneapolis by providing youth with an outstanding, Christ‑centered education.
- Ability to effectively educate in a multi‑racial, multi‑ethnic, and economically disadvantaged urban community.
- Desire to equip the children of the city with an academically rigorous, comprehensive, classical Christian education to prepare them for complex societal issues.
- Willingness to go above and beyond in building relationships with students.
