American Indian Education Aid Specialist

Duties
  • Managing and reviewing American Indian Education Program Plans.
  • Managing applications for Title VI programming.
  • Managing applications for the Impact Aid program.
  • Managing the Ethel Curry Scholarship application and awards.
  • Outreach to school districts, assisting with questions, and verifying that programming complies with regulations.
  • Providing support to the Program and Compliance Monitor in analyzing data and recommending additional programming needs.
Minimum Qualifications
  • One (1) year of professional experience managing grant processes, American Indian Education programming/instruction, or general education programming.
  • Articulation of experience: either
    • One (1) year of professional experience in the above areas, or
    • Three (3) years of professional experience providing administrative support for grant processes and American Indian Education programming/instruction.
  • Alternatively, a bachelor’s or master’s degree may substitute for one year of professional experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with data analysis.
  • Experience providing tribal consultation under ESSA.
  • Experience utilizing and applying American Indian statutes, laws, and policies.
  • Experience working with tribal governments.
Additional Requirements

A job offer will be contingent upon successfully passing a background check. The background check may consist of the following components:
