American Indian Education Aid Specialist

- Managing and reviewing American Indian Education Program Plans.
- Managing applications for Title VI programming.
- Managing applications for the Impact Aid program.
- Managing the Ethel Curry Scholarship application and awards.
- Outreach to school districts, assisting with questions, and verifying that programming complies with regulations.
- Providing support to the Program and Compliance Monitor in analyzing data and recommending additional programming needs.
- One (1) year of professional experience managing grant processes, American Indian Education programming/instruction, or general education programming.
- Articulation of experience: either
- One (1) year of professional experience in the above areas, or
- Three (3) years of professional experience providing administrative support for grant processes and American Indian Education programming/instruction.
- Alternatively, a bachelor’s or master’s degree may substitute for one year of professional experience.
- Experience with data analysis.
- Experience providing tribal consultation under ESSA.
- Experience utilizing and applying American Indian statutes, laws, and policies.
- Experience working with tribal governments.
