Position: Site Based Program Coordinator

Description

Program Overview

The Site Based Mentoring Program provides high-quality youth mentoring services to BBBS participants, including youth, volunteer mentors, and Caregivers, across school-based and corporate partner sites across the Twin Cities. The program is designed to foster safe, consistent, and positive mentoring relationships between youth (grades 2-8) and adult mentors.

Site-Based Mentoring includes two primary program models:
In-School Mentoring

Mentors meet one-on-one with their mentee during the school day, typically over lunch, at assigned school sites. These sessions are lightly facilitated and largely unstructured. Site Based Program Coordinators support match quality by providing activity ideas, ensuring consistent attendance, and monitoring relationship health through ongoing check-ins with participants and school staff.

Beyond School Walls (BSW)

Mentors meet with mentees at corporate partner sites where youth are transported for structured group-based mentoring sessions. This model includes facilitated programming and requires staff to coordinate session flow, activities, and engagement across sites. Youth are transported via arranged buses between school and corporate partner sites, and coordinators may accompany and support participants during transportation as part of facilitated programming.

Across both program models, the Site-Based Mentoring team delivers high-quality customer service, ongoing match support, and programming with a strong emphasis on child safety and positive youth development.

Position Overview

The Site Based Program Coordinator serves as the primary point of contact for participants and site partners at assigned school and corporate sites. Coordinators support recruitment, enrollment, participant assessment, match support, program delivery, and documentation in alignment with BBBSTC quality and child safety standards.

Coordinators are cross‑trained across all core functions of the role, including participant support, youth enrollment, child safety, program delivery, and site‑based relationship management. While assigned to specific caseloads and sites, they serve as the day‑to‑day BBBSTC representative at those locations, supporting consistent communication and strong program implementation.

In addition to direct service responsibilities, coordinators hold ownership of designated program functions that support team‑wide operations and ensure consistent delivery across sites and program models.
