The Department of Animal Science is seeking a Teaching Specialist for the following courses.
* ANSC 2015 - Introduction to Applied Animal Behavior, 3 credits (Fall 2026)
* ANSC 3015/5035:
Animal Welfare Judging and Assessment, 3 credits (Fall 2026)
Job Duties
* Develop and teach courses (in-person, hybrid or online).
* Advise students in courses with regard to academic concerns.
* May provide service related teaching duties.
* Participate in the decisions relating to the policies, courses and programs in which there is involvement.
* Continue personal growth within the profession, keep current with the field and broaden knowledge and expertise.
Please note, this position is not eligible for H-1B or Green Card sponsorship.
Qualifications
Required
* PhD degree is required.
* Must have demonstrated competence to teach the course material.
* Professional and/or teaching experience related to the assigned instructional responsibilities.
About the Department
The College of Food, Agricultural and Natural Resource Sciences (CFANS) is composed of 13 academic departments, 10 research and outreach centers across Minnesota, plus the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum, the Bell Museum, and dozens of interdisciplinary centers that span the college, the university, and the globe. CFANS offers thirteen undergraduate majors and thirteen graduate majors, three pre-major/pre-professional programs and 23 minors for undergraduate students.
Undergraduate enrollment in the college is about 2000 students. CFANS students are well-prepared for a diverse, multicultural workforce through the college's emphasis on experiential, interdisciplinary, and intercultural learning; internships and global perspectives.

Pay and Benefits
Pay Range: $9,000-$18,000 total ($3,000 per credit), depending on course enrollment.
